I find this commentary really interesting and relevant. It's a brilliant way for AOL to change its bad "brand equity" into some good brand equity by pushing smaller, more focused brands. If they take off and are successful, I think AOL is banking that ad revenue is only going to increase to those types of blogs in the future. A really smart bet, in my opinion.
