  3. I never knew there was such a thing as underwater + top hat photos... that is truly revolutionary Josefa.

Also Spain is awesome and I love Madrid. Rock on.

  4. The video is pretty neat. It reminds me of my study abroad in Brazil, where we met our host families in a similar manner; us students had half a postcard, while our families had the other half, and we wandered around a room (exactly like the video) trying to match the cards. It was a fun, and different, way to meet most of the families/participants.

Onto the song/video! I enjoyed this - did you know this is a Finnish/French band?!??!. At first, the high-pitched voice of Olivia bothered me, but it sort of grew on me by the middle/end of the song. The guitar/band riff is exceptionally catchy (I caught myself bobbing my head a number of times). All told, I think this is deserving of a solid 4/5 Happy Faces (extra quarter-point for the video!).

  5. I spent way too much time figuring out how you could cut oranges like that...other than throwing them at a taught guitar string.

  6. And by "figuring out" I meant I still don't know how.

  7. As for whether I like the song or not ... I don't know. I've listened to it three times now and I still don't know. Sometimes I think I like it, sometimes I am thinking, "Man, this goes on for another 70 seconds?" and sometimes I forget that it's playing as I go check my email for the third time in three minutes.

  8. Aaron I kind of agree with your assessment, I kept waiting for the song to do something more or take it to another level, but it just kind of goes. Still it's pleasant and I liked watching the video and seeing the metaphor of the oranges used in different ways.

The one part where the two people are standing holding the completed orange between their foreheads was a nice image, for example.
