Music Tuesdays - The Struggle (RAC remix) by Grizfolk

This song has been on consistent repeat on my playlist for a few months now.  I love this song and, as usual, RAC has done magic with their remix by bringing out the most essential and interesting parts of the song.  I love that way that RAC reimagines songs in their remixes.  I'll have to write at length about this soon.

I really like this song, and I love this remix by RAC.  Catchy and entertaining, it has been on my playlist all summer.

Music Tuesdays - Better At Making Time by De Lux

I have been listening to this song on the regular for weeks now, but for some reason it didn't occur to me make it a FIWK song.  I guess it was just too ingrained in the fabric of my routine for me to even realize.

The Talking Heads vibe of this band is something I really dig, plus the catchiness of the song.  The latter makes for a pretty entertaining video gimmick also.  Their taciturn musicianship in his house cracks me up.

Music Tuesday Extras - I Wanna Get Better by Bleachers

Being that it's the summer and I haven't posted music regularly, I have a big backlog of songs I want to get on FIWK.  Tuesday was a relatively recent, unplayed song by WAZ.  Today it's a song on rotation on the radio that gets me amped up every time I hear it.  Awesome summer party song.

Really loving this song, and the interesting video for it - but there are a lot of unanswered questions here.  Why does his team of color-shooters turn on him?  How come their guns turn everything else crazy colors, but when they shoot him, he actually dies?  He didn't even get to have crazy colors blood?

This song is from Jack White's new album, which is due out in June.  I like it.

This just started playing on KCRW lately... I didn't know who Cillie Barnes was, but I really enjoy most Rac remixes of songs, and I dig this one.  Great vibe.

This song is everywhere nowadays, and it's just super fun.  Kind of the perfect pop song.

New song by Foster the People that has a fun vibe to it.  They'll also be performing at Coachella this year.

As featured in the move the Secret Life of Walter Mitty.  I'm a big fan of Jose Gonzalez; he's also in the group Junip, who we've featured on FIWK before.

This song appeared in Grand Theft Auto 5, and has been getting some radio play lately.  I really enjoy the sound - reminds me of Depeche Mode crossed with M83.

Music Tuesdays - Take Me Home by Poolside

I enjoy the trance-like qualities of most Poolside songs.  Put this song on in the background as you do something, and it has a good chance of overcoming you and seeping into your subconscious.

Music Tuesdays - Elevate by St Lucia (live on Kimmel)

I'm a St. Lucia fan in general, and I thoroughly enjoyed this performance of theirs on Kimmel last week.  Strong work by them.

Music Tuesdays - Isjaki by Sigur Ros

I am surprised we have never had a Sigur Ros song on Music Tuesdays before.  I absolutely love this song; but I realize this band isn't for everybody.  I waited a long time to post this because I was hoping I could find a different video (I hate this one, it bores and disturbs me), but alas I can't find another.  The live versions don't have quite the same haunting aural soundscape as the album track.
