DJ Earworm - United State of Pop 2009 (Blame it on the Pop)
Our friend luseelooo linked me to the below mashup, with which I immediately fell in love. We all already know from our discussion of Music Tuesdays at Smile Like You Mean It that I'm a fan of EDM, and while it may not have surfaced here at FIWK, I'm a huge fan of Glee, so it makes sense that I'd be a fan of DJ Earworm. I challenge you to listen to this mashup of Billboard's Top-25 of 2009 and not bob your head; you can't do it.

I find it astonishing how well DJ Earworm is able to blend the music videos as well as the songs (not always aligned as well).
ReplyDeleteI also thoroughly enjoyed his 2008 mashup: Viva la Pop. You can watch this and the rest of his videos here.
Fantastic...Happy New Year guys
ReplyDeleteThanks Buzz Beast you too! Keep up the great links in 2010
ReplyDeleteScott I was recently linked to iambossy's Ear Worm page, but it appears to be entirely unrelated. Weird coincidence that I got two music links with the same name in one day.
I appreciated this mashup and corresponding video for how amazingly he blended it together, but as far as an actual song goes I don't know if it would be on my iPod for repeated listenings.
Scott since you're the one with the most diverse and interesting musical taste, here is the "favorite album of 2009" from the blog where I got the above Ear Worm link:
ReplyDeleteA guy named Jack Penate from England... have you ever heard of him?
Again Royce, you're wrong...it should definitely be in your iPod (really, why no iPhone yet?).
ReplyDeleteAlso, I just found out that earworm is an actual term related to songs that get stuck in your head. So, it isn't too coincidental that you got two music links related to Earworm, but rather that you got them in one day as your first introduction to the term. Neat, huh?
Nope - never heard of him...but his "Pull My Heart Away" is one catchy tune. I now see why the term earworm came up on said blog.
ReplyDeleteAnd I'd hardly argue that I have the most diverse and interesting musical taste.
Because I don't want an iPhone, and an iPod touch has much smaller hard drive space for the price... I am happy with the functionality of my iPod video since the majority of what I use it for is free podcasts
ReplyDeleteAmong us, who has the most diverse and interesting musical taste? Surely not me. I suck at music - as tomorrow's Music Tuesday (feat. Smile Like You Mean It) will show.
So, I'm assuming you use some version of the crackberry?
ReplyDeleteThis is my phone
ReplyDeleteBring on the jokes. In fact, let's make it a contest - who has the best, most biting joke about me being in the stone with my old school flip phone?
In the stone age, although "being in the stone" sounds like a cool turn of phrase that I want to pioneer
ReplyDeleteI'm now positive you do have the best music taste Mr. Take-a-Bow.
ReplyDeleteWhere did that come from? Why you bein' sassy?
ReplyDeleteWow. Tremendous. Take a Bow. Name of the song. That is fantastic. Everything about this is fantastic. I have no words.
ReplyDeleteJust for the record that's a stock Google Image and I do not own nor like that song. In fact I abhor Rihanna's singing in I believe every song I've ever heard by her.
ReplyDeleteBut to answer your sarcastic comment, I do have the worst taste in music here. I still want to hear your jokes about my Cro-Magnon phone however.
"In fact I abhor Rihanna's singing..." You're probably a Chris Brown fan, eh?
ReplyDeleteYour phone isn't too Cro-Magnon; came out last summer, no? The only thing I'll say is that your phone sounds like it should be a stripper.
It reminds me of Amy Wong's cell phone from Futurama.
